Pregnancy care can be provided to women from the moment they find out they are pregnant with referral and booking to your local hospital for the labour and birth. Each antenatal visit may include:

• Assessment of mum & baby

• Pregnancy Education

• Labour & birth education

• Ordering of pathology and ultrasound services

• Giving and explaining test results

• Mental health support and emotional support

From birth – 6 weeks & 6 days

Once you are discharged and home from hospital, postnatal care can be provided at Tuart Family Practice or in the comfort of your own home to ensure you feel as supported as possible. Each postnatal visit can include but not limited to

• Health and wellbeing assessment of mum & baby

• Labour & birth debrief

• Postpartum education

• Support with baby cares

• Breastfeeding education and support

• Providing prescriptions and ordering pathology services

• Discussing contraception needs and providing prescriptions, if required
